10th Anniversary Celebration – Welcome to Twin Palms

To everyone involved in planning, hosting and attending our Tenth Anniversary Celebration and Annual Meeting. It was both a fun and informative event. Enjoy the pictures below and brief meeting highlights. !

Twin Palms Neighborhood Organization’s Chairperson Carol Munro took us through 10 years of dreaming, building, and celebrating the great accomplishments the organization has given back to the community.

Guest enjoyed their favorite beverages, delicious hors d’oeuvres and plenty of delectable delights including bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Eric Chiel, one of our Twin Palms Neighborhood Organization’s founding members and an icon to all that know him, presented the Official Proclamation declaring March 19th, 2023, Twin Palms Day in the city of Palms Springs.

Other Advisory Board members joining in the program were Vice-chair – Jeff Hoffman, Treasurer – Larry Johnson, Secretary – Tony Vardaro, Volunteer Coordinator – Michele Johnson and Communications Officer – Jeffery Burnell.

Michele Johnson, Advisory Board Volunteer Coordinator has been checking members in to meetings and events since the beginning. Her talent to pull together numerous volunteers for the home tour is legendary!

A special guest appearance was made by Claire Krisel Wasserman, the granddaughter of Twin Palms most famous architect William Krisel. She shared her insight of how life was growing up with her grandfather and the legacy he imprinted on the desert. Her dynamic personality and sense of humor was welcomed by all and added so much to the program.

The celebration was held poolside at the beautiful home of Michael Feldman and Hung Fan, a William Krisel designed showcase. It was a spectacular afternoon with the mountain tops covered in snow offering the perfect backdrop for everyone to enjoy.

Keeping the mod vibe front and center was the valley’s very own DJ Modgirl! Her spin on the classics mixed with Pink Martini, the Gotan Project and many other greats, took the theme to the next level. Thank you kellee, you nailed it!

A special thank you to Lynn Hammond, the valleys most popular caterer! The hors d’ oeuvres were delicious, the service attentive, warm and friendly. And you Lynn, what a joy! We greatly appreciate you and your staff, well done!

Thank you, Claire and Ashley, for being such a special part of our day of celebration! We will continue honoring your grandfather’s legacy and celebrating all that he has done for Twin Palms.

Thank you to all of you who joined us on this 10th Anniversary celebration! It was our pleasure to see you enjoying yourselves and getting to know your neighbors.

Our sincere gratitude goes out to Hung Fan and Michael Feldman for allowing us to come into your amazing home and bring some friends! You both were so thoughtful and giving of yourselves, it was truly inspirational!
